AMOK’S First Anniversary!

Greetings! It’s been four months since my last update and I’m back just in time to celebrate my barbarian Amok the Powerful’s publication day on November 26th last year. If you haven’t picked it up as a paperback or on Kindle—which received a starred book review from the Independent Book Review—then by all means, please do so! Here’s the nitty-gritty of what this Sword & Sorcery tome is all about:

From the Author of BITTERNEST and NOCTURNAL OFFERINGS Comes a Collection of Eight Connected Sword & Sorcery Tales

Armed with his mystical sword, a young barbarian named Amok and his friend Goyiir the sorceress embark on a quest to seek answers about his forgotten past. As they head west toward the mythical province of Atlantia, the road is long and fraught with peril.

They’ll battle a wide variety of foes ranging from ninjas, spectres, and even aliens as they carve their way through the cycle of seasons. Will Amok and his friends survive to face the nearly-indomitable evil of Atlantia's tyrannical ruler, the Harbinger of Doom?

As for the next part in my planned sci-fi short stories Orion Trilogy, I haven’t written a single word yet on the follow-up to this summer’s “Anomaly” tale (you can find the links and details for it in my previous blog post). I’ve been plagued with ongoing health issues lately and to be honest, there’s an ingredient missing for me to get going. Call it writer’s block or loss of inspiration, but I just can’t seem to put together an outline that satisfies me to finally get started. I’ve been jotting down ideas, dialogue exchanges, and scenes since late August, but nothing magical enough for me to begin a new manuscript. At this point, I’ll give it another go in January. Initially, I was hoping to have the second story out by the end of 2025 or early 2026 and the third and final tale out for the summer of 2026, but now, it’ll get done when I get around to it, simple as that. Stay tuned to my blog for updates from time to time. On that note, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all safe and happy Holidays and I’ll see you in 2026!
